Sorrisniva's ice hotel on the Alta River is rebuilt every winter and opens to day visitors from 20 December to 1 April, daily from 12:00 to 20:00, with shorter hours on 20 and 31 December. It is not open now. A self-guided visit costs NOK 395 for adults and NOK 180 for children aged 3 to 12, covering the ice sculptures, the Ice Chapel, sample bedrooms and an exhibition on how the hotel is built; no ticket is listed for children under 3. A guided tour at 16:30 including an ice drink costs NOK 750 for adults and NOK 450 for children. Overnight igloo rooms start from NOK 4070 per room, not per person, for up to two adults and one child. Dress warmly, as the inside stays below freezing.
