Tromso Arctic Reindeer is run by a Sami reindeer-herding family, and its tours run daily from 31 October 2026 to 4 April 2027. The short reindeer sledding experience costs NOK 1890 for adults and NOK 945 for children aged 3 to 12 in low season, rising to NOK 2090 and NOK 1045 around Christmas and from mid- February to early March; under-3s go free. The four-hour trip includes return transport from Tromso, feeding the reindeer, 10 to 15 minutes of sledding, a warm bidos stew lunch with a vegetarian option, and joik and stories by the fire in the lavvu. Feeding-only tours cost NOK 1490 to NOK 1890 and the long sledding tour from NOK 2090. Sledding needs snow, and nothing runs before late October.
