What to know
The Arctic Cathedral charges NOK 90 for adults to visit the church room, paid at the door. Children under 12 enter free, groups of 15 or more pay NOK 85 each, and Tromso residents and anyone attending a service go in free. There is no honnor or student discount on the entry fee. Opening hours change from day to day around funerals, weddings and services, usually 10:00 to 17:00 with afternoon-only openings on Sundays and Mondays, so check the day's hours before walking over the bridge, about 20 minutes, or taking bus 20, 24, 26 or 28. Concerts are ticketed separately: the half-hour Aurora Tunes organ concerts on Fridays at 17:30 in autumn cost NOK 250 for adults and NOK 150 for children aged 8 to 15. Midnight sun concerts run in summer only.
