about AED 228
2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 14, priced against this venue’s own published age bands.
Adult admission is A$39, concession A$33 with a valid card, and A$17 for ages 12 to 17. Children 4 to 11 are free, as are infants, so this is no longer the adults-only museum it once was. Tasmanian residents of any age get in free but still need to claim a ticket. The critical thing to plan around is the opening pattern: MONA opens Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm, and is closed Tuesday and Wednesday every week. The museum is fully open, with the new Elektra wing and its underground library added in mid-2026 alongside Pharos and the Siloam tunnels. The ferry from Brooke Street Pier in central Hobart is a separate ticket from about A$30, and a return costs the same as a one-way; the premium Posh Pit lounge with drinks and canapes is roughly double that. Driving and parking on site is free.
