Bruny Island does not publish a fixed price, so this site will not invent one. Check the official page below.
Bruny Island has no entry fee. The unavoidable cost is the vehicle ferry from Kettering, about 35 minutes south of Hobart, and it is charged per vehicle rather than per head: one return fare covers the driver and every passenger in the car. A vehicle under six metres is A$58.60 return from late September to the end of November and A$67.30 over the December to April peak, with a cheaper Saver fare of A$50.90 on selected crossings. Larger vehicles and vans cost considerably more. Motorcycles and bicycles are A$8.10, and foot passengers travel free. Fares changed on 28 September 2026 and the old Super Saver tier has gone. Bruny is self-drive with no public transport once you land, so a car is effectively required. Most people come for the food and oyster trail, the cheeses, berries, whisky and the Neck lookout.
