Edvard Grieg's home at Troldhaugen is run by the KODE museums, and admission is NOK 200 for adults, with everyone under 18 free. The same ticket gives same-day entry to all KODE museums, including the art museums in central Bergen. In 2026 the museum, garden and cafe were open Tuesday to Sunday from 2 May to 13 September, with outdoor tours and concerts from June. Grieg's villa is closed for renovation, so the visit centres on the museum building, the composer's hut and the couple's gravesite. From mid-September to early May the park stays open, but the museum and cafe open only on concert and event days, so it is effectively closed now. Bergen Card holders get free or discounted entry depending on the season.

The planner warns of wet in September, October, November. Outside those months it says nothing, which is the point — a warning that fires every day is one nobody reads.
