Lom Stave Church, built in the twelfth century and still the village's parish church, is run for visitors by the local parish rather than the National Trust of Norway. Entry costs NOK 110 for adults, NOK 70 for seniors and students and NOK 50 for children, and includes the open guided tours held daily in summer with no booking needed. The visitor season runs from 1 June to 25 September, 10:00 to 16:00, except from 21 June to 14 August, when it stays open until 19:00. The church is closed to sightseeing now and reopens for visitors next June, though it remains in use for services. The church does not publish an age range for its child ticket.

The planner warns of freezing in January, February, December. Outside those months it says nothing, which is the point — a warning that fires every day is one nobody reads.
Short days. Jotunheimen & the high mountains gives under 6 hours of daylight in December.
