The Flam Railway climbs 20 km from the fjord at Flam to Myrdal on the Bergen Line, with a five-minute photo stop at Kjosfossen waterfall. Fares depend on the date and departure: in October 2026 an adult return costs NOK 810 to NOK 900, falling to NOK 675 from November. Children aged 6 to 17 pay half, and under-6s travel free. Return tickets go on sale 120 days ahead on the operator's own site, while one-way tickets, from NOK 399, are sold by Vy. The line runs all year, with six daily departures in October and four from November to March. There is no senior fare, but Interrail and Eurail holders get 30 percent off single tickets.
