What to know
Entry to Nidaros Cathedral costs NOK 140 for adults and NOK 70 for visitors aged 8 to 25, with under-8s free; there is no separate senior or student rate. Climbing the tower costs an extra NOK 70 and is offered in summer only. The Archbishop's Palace Museum and the Crown Regalia need a separate NOK 140 ticket, or you can buy the cathedral plus both museums for NOK 260, or NOK 130 for ages 8 to 25. Tickets are sold at the visitor centre and are valid all day, and attending a service is free. Autumn hours are short, roughly 09:00 to 14:00 on weekdays, 09:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays and 13:00 to 16:00 on Sundays, and church events can change them at short notice.
