What to know
Swan Valley has no entry fee and sits 25 minutes from central Perth, which makes it the easiest half-day trip in the state; the wineries, breweries and chocolate and nougat stops are free to walk into, though tastings are often charged. The ticketed options are the tours. A hop-on hop-off shuttle between cellar doors starts around A$35 a person and is the flexible, cheap choice. Guided coach tours with tastings and lunch run roughly A$95 to A$115 an adult. The Swan River cruise from Barrack Street Jetty is the scenic version: Captain Cook Cruises charges A$209 an adult between April and October 2026 and A$220 from November, including lunch, wine and a winery stop.
