What to know
The MCG is not a walk-in attraction: outside match days the only way onto the ground is the guided tour, which costs A$38 adult and A$17 for children 5 to 15, with under-fives free and a family of four at A$91. The Australian Sports Museum in the same building is a separate A$38 ticket, but the combined tour- plus-museum pass at A$50 adult, A$22 child and A$120 family saves over 30 per cent and is what most visitors should buy. Concession is A$26 and needs an Australian Seniors, Pension or student card. Extra children join a family ticket for A$6 at Gate 3. Tour times are cut back or dropped on event days, so check before travelling.
