What to know
Graded low on purpose. The only figure from the managing body is four years old - Perhutani published IDR 81,000 for a foreign visitor in 2022 - and the current operator publishes no tariff at all, so the 90,000 circulating for 2026 comes from commercial aggregators. Budget for more than the ticket either way: the shuttle up to the crater is about 32,000 return and effectively compulsory unless you pay to drive up. The crater lake is sulphurous and the smell is strong; thirty minutes at the rim is plenty.
