Kata Tjuta sits inside Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and shares the one park pass with Uluru, so the A$38 adult fee is paid once and covers both; there is no separate charge at the Valley of the Winds. The pass is per person rather than per vehicle, lasts three consecutive days, and under-18s are free. An annual pass costs A$50 if you are returning. Allow a full half day here, as the Valley of the Winds walk is long and exposed and is closed at the Karingana lookout when the forecast exceeds 36 degrees. Buy online before you arrive, or at the entry station if you cannot.

The planner warns of hot in January, February, December. Outside those months it says nothing, which is the point — a warning that fires every day is one nobody reads.
